Grandma's birthday!!
Finally this weekend dun need to work. All thanks to our "wonderful" client who din provide us with anything to work on.

In a way, that was good for me cos i had a lunch appt with my grandma and relatives. A birthday lunch celebration for my grandma, so definitely must attend. It was a daughters affair whereby all her 5 daughters will her out for lunch. Her 6 sons will then put together some money and get her a present. How nice..

Had lunch at Kublai Khan Mongolia BBQ restaurant. It turned out to be a real disaster. Not only the food was not very nice, it was very crowded. It was filled with tour groups from Korea, China and Indonesia. Cannot believe it.. there were more than 300ppl in there. It is sorta buffet but the food there is so limited, the only thing i like is the mongolian bbq chicken with a lot of veges. Food there was rather salty and according to the waiter there, the food was catered more to the taste buds of Koreans and China ppl. Haha.. knowing that we might not be used to the food there, they specially prepared 2 dishes (prawns n vege) for us. Heard that dinner has better variety.

I thought Singaporeans are kiasu, but those ppl i saw today aren't any better. While i was queuing to get the food, i happened to see a middle age guy took out the styrofoam box to tapao food. He wasn't discreet at all, he was tapao-ing in the buffet line. Oh my goddness.. i can't believe that.

Highly not recommended cos it's more catered to tour groups.

Short getaway trip to Bangkok..
Back from Bangkok safe and sound. Security there isnt that good, better not talk to any strangers who approached you cos you never know where they will bring you to. Nearly deceived by them. haha..

It's always a relief to be back home cos there is no place better than home.

My 2nd visit to Bangkok after 2 years. This time round i went with del and fir. Ppl may think that it may be a little awkward to go on a trip with a couple. But i'm perfectly ok with that... haha.. had a strong feeling to find a loved one to go for holiday together too. Hmm.. wonder when will that happen..

This time round, it's more of a relaxing trip. As usual we went for shopping, ate good meals and enjoyed 2 massages.

First massage was at Samsara Spa which was near Chatuchak. Had problem finding the place and we actually walked past that spa 2 times without knowing it. Just as we were about to give up and walk to Chatuchak, Del spotted that spa. It was hiding in one of the back alley. Though the surroundings doesnt look good, the spa itself was good. The ambience in there was perfect. Dimmed lights, spacious room, good service and delicious fruits. In the massage room, there was even a personal jaccuzi. However the price was relatively steep, 1300 baht for 90mins. Highly recommended.. hee..

Haha.. that was mine first massage in my life. A bit embarrassing cos we were only wrapped in towels. The massage was really good and relaxing that i fell asleep at some point.

Went to Health Spa for our 2nd massage. It was located in the city area and it was a stand-alone builiding which was very grand looking. This time round, we tried out the traditional thai massage. The whole session was a bit funny, cos it was quite ticklish when the masseur pressed on some points. There was a lot of stretching and bending and i heard quite a lot of cracking sounds. Quite worth the money, cos it's 450baht for 2hrs.

The next day, i experienced the after effect of the thai massage. My calf muscles were seriously aching. So i think it's actually better to go for the massage on the last few days of the trip, if not, it would be difficult to shop for the whole day.. haha.

Shopping there wasnt that fantastic, only managed to get some accessories, small bags and bottoms. Very disappointed cos i only bought a pair of heels and also i din even buy any working bags.

The trip was generally good. Haha.. still in holiday mood.. dun feel like working le..
